Kevin O’Leary is a Canadian entrepreneur, investor, author, and television personality widely recognized for his direct approach to business and investing. Often known as “Mr. Wonderful,” he became internationally famous through business television programs including Dragons’ Den and Shark Tank.

Born in 1954 in Montreal, Quebec, O’Leary studied at the University of Waterloo before earning an MBA from the Ivey Business School. His early career included television production before he moved into the rapidly expanding software industry.

In 1986, O’Leary founded SoftKey Software Products, which expanded through a series of acquisitions and later became The Learning Company. The business established him as a prominent entrepreneur and helped launch the investment career for which he would later become famous.

Beyond television, O’Leary remains active as an investor and business commentator. His public work frequently focuses on entrepreneurship, financial discipline, investing, and the importance of understanding the economics behind a successful company.
